Our rooms at Chequers Lodge are perfect for corporate guests working locally. If you travel for work regularly and are looking for one of the best serviced accommodations in the area—with free parking included—we have you covered.

We are a family-run business with over 10 years’ experience accommodating business guests, and Chequers Lodge has been thoughtfully renovated with corporate travellers in mind. BAE Systems is just a short drive away, making us an ideal choice for professionals in the area.

Comfortable, Fully Equipped Rooms

Our room rates include bed linen, towels, and all furnishings, providing everything you need to feel at home. We offer three room types—please see our accommodation page for details. Each room features:

  • Superfast Wi-Fi throughout the building

Convenient Check-In & Parking

We offer a free, spacious car park available without pre-booking. Arrive whenever is convenient—your room key will be waiting in the secure key box after payment at the reception porch. On your arrival day, you’ll receive a text with your room number and key box code, so you’re not tied to reception hours.

The property manager lives on-site and is always contactable in person or by phone. Our friendly team is here to ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Facilities & Local Amenities

We are currently developing more rooms and a new comfortable lounge area for guests, plus convenient vending machines.

While we don’t have an on-site restaurant, a fantastic pub is just a short walk away, serving great food and beverages. Menus are also provided in-room if you prefer to eat out or order takeaways.

Alternative Accommodation

If a hotel stay isn’t for you, we also offer short-term let properties in a quiet rural location on the outskirts of Barrow-in-Furness, minutes from town. These have been used for corporate tenants from BAE Systems, Morgan Sindall, and Jacobs for many years. One property is currently available—please contact us for details.
